IMYN is convened by MCCI to support young people aged 12 to 24 years who come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through the network we seek to understand the experiences of young people, share information and promote issues on behalf of the Illawarra’s culturally and linguistically diverse youth to government, business and the broader community.
MCCI provides secretariat support for the network and facilitates communication between network members via email and quarterly meetings. The 100-strong member network includes representation from local government, local area health including refugee and multicultural health, education, NSW police, employment and career-development organisations and community-sector services supporting youth.
The network meets four times a year.
